Jennifer Lawrence Discusses Golden Globes Speech On The Late Show With David Letterman

Hunger Games star, Jennifer Lawrence set the record straight last night on Letterman. The actress talked about her Meryl Streep comment from her Golden Globes acceptance speech as well as discussing a photoshopped picture of her in a bikini while visiting “The Late Show”.

The actress explained the photo as the paparazzi’s doing. “It’s not my butt and I will not take responsibility for it. It’s a 90-year-old butt that’s been photoshopped onto my body,” said the actress. The audience roared with laughter at the Silver Linings Playbook star. While in the hot seat, Lawrence admitted she’s not the most photogenic and she does have some “bloat” at times, but is convinced that the butt is not her’s in the photo.

Lawrence also addressed her Meryl Streep joke from her Golden Globes speech. The young star was only quoting a line from First Wives Club by Bette Midler. “Look what it says, ‘I beat Meryl Streep'”, she told Letterman. “I had no idea Lindsay Lohan would take to the Twitterverse,” she said jokingly. “Well, first of all it’s Meryl Streep. You can’t offend Meryl Streep.”

Jennifer Lawrence will return as Katniss in Hunger Games: Catching Fire set to release on November 21  of this year. In the sequel Katniss and Peta prepare for the Quarter Quelll, which is a competition that will change Panem forever.
