Is a Destiny’s Child reunion in the works? Something like that. The trio recently announced they will drop a compilation album entitled Love Songs on January 29 with the release of the newly recorded track “Nuclear”. Between planning a Super Bowl performance, filming a documentary, signing a mega deal with Pepsi and celebrating her daughter, Blue Ivy’s, first birthday, it came t o a surprise that Beyonce was working with former DC band mates on a new album. “Nuclear” is the first new song for the group in eight years!
According to reports, multiple sources say that Beyonce will be joined by former band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams during her halftime performance at the Super Bowl. The group is rumored to perform a medley of the group’s hits that will culminate with “Nuclear”. Source say Beyonce will open the show solo, then will be joined by Williams and Rowland half way through. Beyonce will end the Super Bowl performance solo again with a finale that will include the as-yet-unannounced first single from her upcoming fifth studio album.
In a recent interview, Rowland was noted saying a professional reunion of the girls might lead to the members “scratching each other’s eyes out.” Looks like they got past their differences to bring us some new music.
