Rapper T-Pain came to the defense of his openly gay assistant after some unnamed individuals apparently tweeted homophobic things about his friend. T-Pain issued a declaration via Twitter blasting narrow-minded views.

The ‘Low’ rapper, born Faheem Najm, is believed to have written the tweets after his assistant was bullied online.

‘Attention homophobic idiots: if you’re not attractive to straight women, you’re probably not attractive to gay men. You can unclench now,’ T-Pain wrote.

‘Just see a lot of ppl lookin at my assistant like “oh no better not go that way. That guy wants my butt’” don’t be an idiot. Ur still fugly.’

After Frank Ocean became one of the most mainstream artists to be openly bisexual in R&B, several other artists have shown their support for the gay community.

Relevantly new artist Macklemore has a lyric in one of his songs, Same Love, which goes ‘If I was gay, I would think hip-hop hates me’.

In a recent interview, Snoop Lion said:‘People can do what they want and as they please’.

‘Satisfy yourself accordingly. I have no issues with nobody, I live for me and I live my life doing what I do, so you should have the right to do whatever you want to do’.
