Chris rocked posted a picture of himself with rapper Eminem while in the studio and then went on to say in an interview that he was going to be featured on his next album…sort of!

While he wouldn’t say anything at first about what the two have been doing together, Chris is finally talking, a little. The comedian has posted the picture that is posted below on his Twitter account captioning it with, “In the studio with Em don’t sleep.” He was then interviewed on May 4, 2013 and teased the world and rap fans further.

So is Chris on the album? Well, he remained pretty hush hush when he showed up on Fuse TV’s United States of Hip Hop one week after posting that picture.

When asked about what they were doing in the studio and if he was going to be featured on the Eminem record, he said:

“Uh, I can’t really say. Hey, hey, I was on the Kanye [West] record – maybe I’m on the Eminem record. You never know. Then when the interviewer joked that Eminem looked younger in that photo Chris said, “Yeah, yeah, but money does that, I’m 65, man! Money is the best lotion in the world.” 

Dr. Dre on Eminem’s New Album

Dr Dre won’t say a word about the new album either while also being interviewed the other day. All he would say was, “Em is finishing up his project. And for me, man, I’ve just gotten inspired again to go back into the studio, so I’m just really having fun with life and having fun with being creative.” This will be Eminem’s eighth album, Dr. Dre did say that Eminem was almost finished with this new album and that rapper Big Sean will be on the album.

Rap icon Eminem will release his new album later this year. And as far as Chris Rock being featured on it, we’ll just have to wait and see!

After a week of Twitter promotional stunts, actor, musician and MySpace backer Justin Timberlake announced plans to release his first new album since 2006.

For the past week fans have been following a Twitter feed to Timberlake’s website only to find a clock ticking down but today the singer made a formal announcement regarding his return to pop music.

“Back in June of last year I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC,” he wrote. “What I came up with is something I couldn’t be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I’ve discovered along the way.”

The news of the album was paired with the release of a new single called “Suit & Tie featuring Jay Z. The song is now available through iTunes and MySpace. The new album, “The 20/20 Experience” will be released later this year.

Fans and critics alike have long believed that the king of glam rock, David Bowie, had quietly settled into retirement. That’s why it came as such a surprise when Bowie celebrated his 66^th birthday by releasing a new song and announcing an upcoming album.

Just after midnight last night a new video “Where Are We Now” appeared on Bowie’s website along with the announcement that a new album The Next Day will be released come March. Bowie has not been seen in public much lately and many believed him to be in bad health but as it turns out Bowie has been hard at work back in the studio with long-time producer Tony Visconti, his collaborator on a dozen albums.

Critics were quick to review the new song and most are ecstatic over the comeback. Neil McCormick of the Daily Telegraph called the song “lush, stately, beautifully strange, weaving resonant piano chords, decaying synths and echoing drums around a single chord progression and a weary, tenderly understated, quietly defiant vocal. The elegiac new single may be the most surprising, perfect and welcome comeback in rock history.”

TLC, the all-girl hip hop group, that brought us hits like “Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg,” “What About Your Friends,” and “Waterfalls” has announced that they are planning to release their first new album in ten years. The group stopped recording a decade ago when singer Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was killed in a car accident in Honduras and it was a bitter sweet reunion for surviving members Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watzins as they announced the project in Liverpool this week.

T-Boz spoke with Rolling Stone about the upcoming album recently, saying; “We’re going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time. We’ve always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound…When that stops working, maybe we’ll hang up the towel, but that still works.”

TLC still remains the second-bestselling girl group in history, second only to the spice girls. They’re first album Ooooooohhh…On the TLC Tip was released in 1993 and was a huge critical and commercial success, earning them international recognition and going quadruple-platinum in only one year.  Their follow up album, CrazySexyCool, was equally as successful. All four singles released from the album made it to the top 5 slot of the US Hot 100 and the album sold 11 million copies in America. The albums biggest success had to be the single “Waterfalls” which reached number one on the charts and was a regular feature on MTV.

Internal struggles stalled work on their third album, FanMail but it was ultimately released to success, debuting at number 1 on the Billboard charts and winning two Grammies at the 200o awards. All told, TLC amassed ten top ten singles, four Grammys, four multi-platinum albums and four number one singles in ten years. The super-group has sold 65 million records worldwide and fans are justifiably eager to see what this reunion has in store.
