Pauly D has been a fixture on MTV for years, first as the star of the Jersey Shore and later on his own reality show “The Pauly D Project” but it looks like the star is following the cash straight from MTV to the E! Network. According to TMZ, MTV is eager to bring Pauly D back for a second season of his reality show but the DJ has been hesitant to sign on and the reason is that E! is offering him a lot more money to come and do a show for them instead. Apparently Pauly has already had 3 meeting with E! about the new project and is eager to jump networks. The new show will reportedly focus on Pauly’s complete life not just his career as a DJ. So far reps for Pauly D have been silent about the career change but for now you can still catch Pauly on MTV as Jersey Shore airs its series final

All good things must come to an end, and MTV’s Jersey Shore is going out in full fist-pumping style with a week-long marathon so that viewers can relive every single fight, hookup, and breakup before tuning in for the big series finale.
Things kicked off on Thursday when MTV took us back in time to the very first episode of Jersey Shore. From there they will air every single episode of the past 6 seasons in chronological order as the crew goes from Seaside Heights, to Italy and to Miami. The marathon will also feature never-before-seen-footage, interviews and special messages from the cast to say goodbye.
The series finale will air on MTV this coming Thursday and will be followed by a reunion special where all of the cast members can get together one last time to review their 6 seasons of drama.
If you’re not ready to say goodbye to all of your favorite guidettes,don’t worry: the second season of “Snooki & JWoww” is set to premiere the beginning of January and promises to be backed full of the drama we’ve come to know and love at the Shore.

The stars have been coming out in droves to help with relief efforts for those in New York and New Jersey devastated by Hurricane Sandy and now Pink is doing her part, lending her voice to the upcoming MTV live benefit “Restore The Shore,” proceeds from which will be donated to Architecture for Humanity and will be used to help rebuild Seaside Heights, home of ‘The Jersey Shore’ gang and an area hit particularly hard by the storm. Pink recorded a message for the benefit saying: “Whenever you think of the Jersey Shore, you either think of that TV show, or you think about the beautiful boardwalks, the gorgeous beached, or the fact that my mom grew up in Atlantic City…..Please do whatever you can to restore this beautiful memory that, for most people in Seaside Heights right now, is just a memory.”

‘Restore The Shore’ is scheduled to air on MTV live at 11 pm tonight and will feature a host of celebrities including the cast of “Jersey Shore.”

With only a month left to go until this year’s EMA’s MTV is announcing some major additions to the 2012 lineup. Among those headed to Frankfurt, Germany on November 11^th will be Psy, the Killers, Alicia Keys, Pitbull and South Korea’s latest star Psy who has been rocking the globe the last few weeks with his hit song ‘Gangnam Style.’ “Since this is my first time to not only be nominated for an international award but to perform in front of a worldwide audience, I am excited to give up my international virginity to the MTV EMA!’ Psy told MTV. Just a month after ‘Gangnam Style’ debuted Psy has appeared on the Video Music Awards, the Today Show and Saturday Night Live, not to mention he still has  the #1 best-selling song on iTunes.

Many of the nights artists have new works that they will be promoting. Alicia Keys will be performing a track from her new ‘Girl on Fire,’ the Killers are promoting their new album ‘Battle Born’ and Pitbull plans to debut work from him upcoming ‘Global Warming’ album.

These are only the latest additions to what was already promising to be an all-star show. German born model Heidi Klum will be hosting the nights activities which will also feature performances by Muse, Taylor Swift, No Doubt, Rita Ora, Fun, and Carly Rae Jepsen.

Aside from the nights performances there is also fierce competition brewing for the night’s big awards. Taylor Swift and Rihanna, who is rumored to be heating things up with ex Chris Brown, are both nominated for the most awards of the evening with 5 and 6 nominations. The song birds are trailed by tween pop star Justin Bieber who racked up 4 nominations this year. Also nominated this year are Lana del Rey, Jay Z, Kanye West, and One Direction.

Former child star and pop singer Miley Cyrus stunned fans back in June when the 19 year old announced that she was engaged to hunky Australian actor Liam Hemsworth but now it seems that we will have to wait a little while longer to hear those wedding bells ring. Miley announced at last nights MTV Video Music Awards that she has put her wedding plans on the back burner while she is busy recording her new album. Cyrus explained “I’ll have a single out this year. This is the first time I get to tell people about it, so I’m really excited. It’s all really different. We’ve been working really hard and the record, I’m really proud of the album. It’s my favorite thing I’ve done probably ever.” The star insists that all is well with fiancee Hemsworth and that she remains excited about getting married shes just not in any rush to make it legal.

Pint sized reality star and self proclaimed Guidette Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi gave birth to her first child Sunday, Lorenzo Dominic LaValle. Snooki gave birth just after 3 am Sunday morning at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey and her fiancee Jionni LaValle was on hand to witness the joyous occasion. The Jersey Shore star took to Twitter this morning to let fans and friends know that she and the little one were doing fine, “I am SO IN LOVE with my son Lorenzo Dominic! I had my little man last night, healthy at 6lbs! HE”S MY WORLD!” the star wrote. MTV was also quick to congratulate the young couple “We couldn’t be happier for Nicole and Jionni on the healthy delivery of their baby boy! We look forward to Lorenzo’s first trip to the Jersey Shore and can’t wait to see his first animal print onesie.”

20 million television viewers will once again be able to watch their many of their favorite channels today as Viacom and satellite TV provider DirecTV end their dispute in regards to program fees. For the past 9 days DirecTV customers have gone without channels like Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon as the two companies negotiated the terms of a new deal and many feared that things were at an impass. Though the details of the seven year agreement reached this morning have not been released sources believe that Viacom got the 20% increase in fees that is was demanding which will raise their annual fees by around $100 million dollars. Viacom had been pushing for DirecTV to carry their movie channel Epix but dropped the demand in an effort to keep negotiations moving forward toward an agreement.
