The world of pageantry is filled with traditions, one being the controversy among its queens. Miss Delaware Teen USA has resigned from her position after a video surfaced online that allegedly features the 18 year old beauty queen engaging in a sexual act. There have been claims that the pageant queen had participated in pornographic movies after turning 18.

A representative for the pageant confirmed King’s resignation to TMZ stating, “I would like to confirm the Miss Delaware Teen USA pageant has received a resignation letter from Miss King’s attorney.”

Melissa King resigned as Miss Teen Delaware USA, but denies being a part of the video. She spoke with a Delaware news site and told them she was aware that reports were claiming she was the woman in the video. “There are comments saying this, however, it’s not comments that are true,” she told Delaware Online.

The video was originally found on the “real amateur girls” website GirlsDoPorn.com. In the video, a woman who resembles King shares in an off camera interview that she decided to go into porn because she needed money and also revealed that she competes in beauty pageants.

The Miss Delaware Teen USA runner up will take King’s place as queen.
