On Tuesday night, June 4, 2013 Paris Jackson had a troubling night that fortunately ended with her getting some help.  Paris Jackson took to twitter, a place where millions can send out their bottled up emotions. She posted, “I wonder why tears are salty?” And then posted, “yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay.”

A person close to the family said that Paris Jackson was extremely upset over not being allowed to go to a Marilyn Manson concert. 

At 1:27 AM a 911 call came in from a suicide hotline that reported a possible overdose but was found with multiple cuts on her wrists.

The family friend told media reporters that  Paris Jackson has “tried this in the past” but “this was far more serious.  It was not a cry for help.”  An ambulance arrived at  the 15 year old’s Calabasas home and brought her out on a stretcher, rushing Paris Jackson to the hospital at 2 AM, early Wednesday morning. The family friend who wished to remain anonymous said that it was a suicide attempt.

Kathrine Jackson’s lawyer, Perry Sanders, explained to the public that, “Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you.” He then added that, “Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention.”

It was then revealed this afternoon that Paris Jackson had called a suicide hotline and the operator was under the impression that medical attention may be needed and thankfully called 911. Paris had written a suicide note, cut her right arm with a meat clever, and took several Motrin pills. She received stitches and was placed under a 5150 psychiatric hold for 72 hours.

It was reported that she is doing better. Her brothers, Jackie, Marlon, and Tito made a statement earlier this afternoon saying, “Thank you for the outpouring of concern and support for Paris. She is safe and doing fine. We truly appreciate you respecting our family privacy at this time.”

Conrad Murray, the doctor deemed responsible for the death of Michael Jackson, has appealed his involuntary manslaughter conviction stemming from that case. But that appeal has hit a snag.

Supervising Deputy Attorney General Victoria B. Wilson wrote a filing in response to Murray’s appeal saying that the former doctor’s own lawyers missed several opportunities to object to a judge’s rulings in the case. Wilson also stated that jurors in the case had overwhelming evidence that Murray was directly responsible for Jackson’s death.

Murray is still behind bars after being sentenced to four years for providing Jackson with the anesthetic propofol, which the singer overdosed on in his bedroom.

“The record shows that (Murray) was playing Russian roulette with Mr. Jackson’s life over the course of several months,” Wilson wrote.

Murray’s attorney Valerie Wass had appealed the conviction in April, arguing that the judge made a mistake by not allowing jurors to hear evidence about Jackson’s troubled finances, his contract with concert giant AEG Live LLC, and by not sequestering the jury and allowing television coverage.

Michael Jackson’s family are preparing to share hundreds of private emails from concert promoters AEG, as part of the ongoing wrongful death trial.

The emails, sent by AEG, apparently detail Jackson’s deteriorating health and inner turmoil in the days leading up to his death – as he struggled to prepare for the final series of concerts at London’s O2 Arena.

One email from Randy Philips, a promoter for AEG, reads, “This is the scariest thing I have ever seen. He is an emotionally paralysed mess riddled with self-loathing and doubt now that it’s show time. He’s scared to death.”

This morning sees the opening statements being made, and the trial is expected to last up to three months. It could include testimony from Jackson’s two eldest children, Paris and Prince, as well as Diana Ross, Prince and Jackson’s two ex-wives – Lisa Marie Presley and Debbie Rowe.

The £26.5billion suit accuses AEG of hiring Dr Conrad Murray, who was found guilty of manslaughter in 2011. Murray gave the fatal dose of propofol to Jackson that led to his death.

The Jackson family complaint alleges, “AEG had legal duties to Michael Jackson to treat him safely and to not put him in harm’s way. But AEG, despite its knowledge of Michael Jackson’s physical condition, breached those duties by putting its desire for massive profits from the tour over the health and safety of Michael Jackson.”

Philips also wrote in an email after Jackson’s death, “Michael’s death is a terrible tragedy, but life must go on. AEG will make a fortune from merch sales, ticket retention, the touring exhibition and the film/dvd.”

AEG went on to earn about £160million from the film This Is It, which featured rehearsal footage from Michael Jackson. Their lawyers will claim that Murray was hired by Jackson, and not by AEG.

After several weeks of turmoil and infighting things are returning to normal for the Jackson clan this week. Katherine Jackson, the family matriarch, had her guardianship reinstated in court today after the judge found her to be doing a “wonderful job” with the late singer Michael Jackson’s 3 children, Paris age 14, Prince Michael age 15 and blanket age 10. Katherine had temporarily lost custody several weeks ago after temporarily disappearing. T.J. Jackson, son of Tito Jackson, had been given temporary custody, will continue to have temporary guardian responsibilities and will later be given joint guardianship with Katherine. In other Jackson family news Jermain Jackson has removed himself from a document claiming that Michael’s will was “fake, flawed and fraudulent” issuing a statement saying that “after much soul-searching it is clearly time for us to live by Michael’s words about love not war, in this spirit, I offer this statement by way of extending an olive branch.”

Katherine Jackson, Jackson family matriarch and legal guardian of Michael Jackson’s 3 children, dissapeared and was reported missing over the weekend. The 82 year old has since turned up and is believed to be staying with relatives in Arizona but much about the incident is still a mystery. Jermaine Jackson issued a statement on Sunday saying that Katherine was with her daughter in Arizona and was under doctors orders to relax and stay away from phones and computers. Katherine has been sole guardian to the late Michael Jackson’s children Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket and it appears that the children have not seen their grandmother in a week. Paris tweeted over the weekend “I haven’t spoken with her in a week I want her home now,” no statement has been issued in regards to who is taking care of the kids in Katherine’s absence.
