Based on the book Queen Bee Moms and Kingpin Dads by Wisemen, Mean Moms is set to come to the big screen. Saturday Night Live’s Beth McCarthy Miller will direct the movie. Mean Moms will follow a mother of two who moves to the high-class suburbs from a small town and finds herself in the middle of a parenting war.

It’s not technically a sequel for Mean Girls, but the similarities are definitely there. The latest film will look at the parent’s side of gossip and backstabbing. Casting has yet to be done for the film, but there could be a cameo by Tina Fey. Fey and McCarthy have worked together for several years, with the producer working on a few episodes of 30 Rock.

Mean Girls launched the careers of the many stars that played in the comedy including Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, and Amanda Seyfried. Lindsay Lohan also reached a pinnacle in her career, starring as the lead, Kady. The next film could do the same for an older actress, or just be a chance to play a b-word on the big screen.
