Despite her “respiratory infection”, Lindsay Lohan made it to court this morning over misdemeanor charges of lying to authorities and reckless driving in a crash last summer, which is in violation of her probation.  The trouble actress was represented by New York lawyer, Mark Heller.

Judge Stephanie Sautner welcomed Lohan by saying, “I’m glad to see you’re feeling better,” referring to the actress doctor’s note excusing her from court. After learning a warrant would be out for her arrest if  she missed court, Lindsay quickly flew from New York to LA although her sickness advised her from flying.

Lohan told the judge that she was putting her legal troubles in the hands of Heller and moving on from former lawyer Shawn Holley. Judge Sautner gave permission to Heller to represent Lohan  and also stated that the actress could be found not guilty in the lying case. She also stated that Lohan could be in violation of her probation in the jewelry case since the standard of proof is lowered.

The next hearing will be March 1st. A March 18 trial date is also scheduled, but Lohan is not required to attend. The latest hearing was the first in over a year that the actress was required to be in attendance.

Lindsay Lohan can’t seem to catch a break. With her legal issues about to erupt, the star, along with her mother, Dina Lohan, were spotted on the last flight to Los Angeles out of JFK Tuesday night after being warned she would have a warrant out for her arrest if she didn’t appear in court Wednesday morning. According to TMZ, Lindsay and her mother flew first class on American Airlines that landed in LA around 12:30.

The actress attempted to not show up at her court appearance for the case where she lied to the cops. She filed a doctor’s note in court stating that she had an upper respiratory infection.  After learning that a warrant could be placed on her arrest for not appearing in court, Lindsay flew back to LA, despite the respiratory infection that claimed she could not fly. Sources tell TMZ that the actress is begging former lawyer, Shawn Holley to come back to represent her in court. Holley, known for keeping Lindsay from jail time on several occasions  has said she is done with the case, leaving Lohan to be represented by New York Lawyer Mark Heller.

Heller may not be able to represent Lindsay in court due to the fact that he has yet to meet the lawyer he got to sponsor him. It is possible that Lindsay may end up representing herself.
