According to TMZ, Lindsay Lohan has fired longtime lawyer Shawn Holley. Holley has kept Lohan out of jail on several occasions, but the actress has traded in her handy attorney for a New York lawyer who was suspended from practicing law for five years in 1994! What was she thinking?

Lindsay Lohan is facing criminal prosecutions in California and New York. Attorney Mark Heller was representing the actress in New York, while Holley was representing her in multiple criminal cases in California. TMZ reports that the L.A prosecution of Lindsay Heller sent a letter to Holley saying he was now representing Lohan on all criminal matters. Reports also claim that Holley received the letter on her way to the courthouse when Heller sent the letter. The news is surprising, considering the fact that Holley was the one who kept Lohan out of jail after the jewelry heist case as well as several probation violation cases.

“The Canyons” star has been in the news recently after a candid article accounted Lohan’s poor behavior on set of the film. In the article, the writer says Lohan was constantly drunk and even drove her car after apparently drinking. The star has had countless number of courtroom appearances, where her lawyer Holley has kept her from going to jail.
