Lil Wayne reveals that his seizures are as much as a surprise to him as they are to his fans. He sat down with MTV news on Wednesday to discuss the now frequent instances of his seizures.

“I go to sleep and wake up in the hospital,” he told MTV News. “No warning, not nothing. I don’t feel sick.” Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, revealed that he suffers from epilepsy and extreme headaches, but that his epileptic seizures happen without any symptoms. “I don’t feel anything,” he said. “I just hope it stops happening.”

Lil Wayne has been in and out of the hospital in recent weeks, in some cases spending days in the ICU for his seizures. In April, the rapper revealed on a radio interview that he suffers from the epilepsy, and has since he was a child. “I’m epileptic, so I’m prone to seizures,” he admitted. “I’ve had a bunch of seizures. Y’all just never hear about it. This time it got real bad because I got three of em in a row, and on the third one, my hear rate went down, to like, 30%. ”

The rapper stated that stress and overworking was the cause of his episodes. He recently released “I am Not a Human Being Part 2” and plans tour this summer.

Lil Wayne fans are still in the dark, as they wonder if he and his girlfriend Dhea are engaged. He was spotted courtside with his girlfriend Dhea at the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Miami Heat. Dhea was sporting a large diamond ring, which was enough to get speculation going as to the status of the couple’s relationship. On this past Valentine’s day, Lil Wayne tweeted a photo of the ring with a message reading: ‘she said yes,’ but later clarified it was not a marriage proposal.

Fans are still trying to figure out if hip hop superstar Lil Wayne is engaged or not.

“I feel like I’ve died and went to Dhea,” Wayne tweeted about his boo.

The YMCMB superstar let it slip that he and his longtime girlfriend Dhea Sodano could be getting hitched in a recent clip of the upcoming MTV reality show “The Show With Vinny.” The series is a “Jersey Shore” spinoff for cast member Vinny Guadagnino. In the segment featuring Lil Wayne, Vinny asks Weezy if he’s ever had real Italian food before.

“My fiancee is Italian,” Wayne shoots back. Vinny’s mom then asked whether Wayne’s lady is from “Sicily or Naples.”

“Arizona,” Wayne replies.

Sodano is from Scottsdale, AZ. So does this mean Weezy’s about to jump the broom?

Following the Till family’s call for boycotts of his music and endorsements, Lil Wayne has released an apology for the imagery he offered in the song “Karate Chop Remix.”

“I would like to take a moment to acknowledge your hurt, as well as the letter you sent to me via your attorneys,” Wayne wrote.

Relatives of Emmett Till, who was brutally beaten in 1955 for allegedly whistling at a White woman, released a video earlier this month expressing their concerns about Wayne’s lyrics. In the song, he used the tragic assault to colorfully describe how he’d engage in sexual intercourse with a woman.

According to the Till family, his words “illuminated the need for more awareness about our cultural and historical foundation… His lyrical indiscretion revived Emmett’s spirit, simply to murder him again by trivializing the importance of those who sacrificed, struggled and died for our inequality.”

Wayne clarified that he did appreciate the struggles of those who suffered during the Civil Rights Movement.

“I have tremendous respect for those who paved the way for the liberty and opportunities that African-Americans currently enjoy,” wrote Wayne.

As a result of their offense, the family suggested a boycott of Wayne’s upcoming tour and one of his biggest endorsers.

“I will not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in my music, especially in an inappropriate manner,” he wrote. “I will not be performing the lyrics that contain that reference live and have removed them from the catalog.

“We support all efforts of mobilization. We support the boycotts the bans by the radio stations to pull the music,” said Airickca Gordon-Taylor, who is identified as Emmett’s cousin. “We support blocking and banning the endorsements. I’ve maintained from February, don’t do the Dew. His biggest endorsement is through Pepsi’s Mountain Dew. Stop buying it. Stop lining his pockets.”

Though the letter stopped short of an actual, “I’m sorry,” he seemingly tried to appease the family members and ease their minds about continued use of the lyrics.

It remains to be seen whether the family is satisfied with sentiments expressed in his letter.

“People are outraged because they feel that he should apologize to our family. I believe that’s the least of what we deserve, and I think that it’s important that our children see that you take a stance to right this wrong,” Airickca said.

Is Wayne’s apology enough or too much? Should the Till family be satisfied with his letter? Why or why not? Leave your comments below.

Till’s relatives are also concerned about the misogyny of it all. Watch.

Lil Wayne’s lines have stirred quite a bit of controversy throughout the years, but the rapper’s reference to Emmett Till on Future’s “Karate Chop (remix)” has prompted an apology from Epic Records to the Till family.

On the remix of “Karate Chop”, Lil Wayne says “beat the p—y up like Emmett Till”, which prompted a response from Emmett Till’s cousin Airickca Gordon-Taylor, who is the founding director of the Mamie Till Mobley Memorial Foundation.

“My agenda is not to be disrespectful to Lil Wayne, even as much as I feel he’s being disrespectful to my family. We just want Emmett’s name removed from that song,” said Gordon-Taylor to the Chicago Sun-Times on Wednesday. “That entire segment is very misogynistic and promotes domestic abuse toward women by our own race,” she added. “But it also shows total disregard ow where you’ve come from. He wouldn’t even be out there rapping these stupid lyrics without the sacrifice Emmett made. Personally, I think Lil Wayne should just go ahead and apologize to my family. It’s hurtful.”

Epic Records, the label for Future, quickly responded to the controversy and stated that they would work to have the offensive content removed from the Internet. “We regret the unauthorized remix version of Future’s ‘Karate Chop’,which was leaked online and contained hurtful lyrics,” the label said in a statement on the Associated Press. “Out of respect for the legacy of Emmett Till and his family an the support of the Revered Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. ..we are going through great efforts to take down the unauthorized version.” Epic Records stated that an official version of the remix will be re-released without the derogatory references.

Lil Wayne has not commented on the issue.

Lil Wayne announced last week that he plans to hang up his microphone for a skateboard but a crew of New Orleans skaters is less than thrilled about his career change. Lil Wayne sat down with Sway Calloway during the MTV premiere of his new video “No Worries” and discussed the reactions he’s been getting to his early retirement.

“There is this skater crew called – I don’t know why I’m giving them love, but it’s called the ‘FWC.’ It’s called the ‘F**k Weezy Campaign’ and it’s a whole bunch of skaters that’s just like, ‘we don’t like the fact that Wayne skates period.’ Like ‘stick to doing what you do, don’t join our world, we don’t want you here,’ that type of thing.”

Wayne’s not letting the hate get him down, though. The New Orleans native has his own skate park in his home town and continues to plan to dedicate himself to the sport after the release of his 11th and final album ‘Tha Carter V.’

11 is the magic number for rapper Lil Wayne who has announced that his upcoming album, the 11th of his career, will be his last.

Lil Wayne made the announcement to MTV News on Wednesday during an interview for his new video “No Worries” that ‘Tha Carter V’ will be his final album. Fans don’t have to worry yet however, because Weezy has one more album up his sleep before “Tha Carter V” is released. His next album “I Am Not A Human Being II” is slated for a February 19th release date and the rapper has not said when he plans to drop the final album.

Lil Wayne explained his decision by saying: “Because I know y’all want me around for a little bit and Carter V is my last album. Man, I’ve been rappin’ since I was 8 years old. I’m 30 now, man. That’s a long time man. My day job will probably be sports analyst and I’ll skate all night instead of being in the studio all night.”

Cash Money artist Lil Wayne lost his lawsuit against Quincy Jones the 3rd after giving a horrible deposition and not showing up to the court house. Lil Wayne was ordered to pay QD3 $2.1 2.1 million dollars for blocking the release of The Carter documentary.

TMZ got the full breakdown:

Lil Wayne never showed up in court for his trial. The day he was supposed to testify he was a no-show because he had suffered several seizure-like episodes and was prohibited from flying. As a result, his lawyer was left to show the jury Wayne’s deposition, in which he refuses to answer questions and mocks the proceeding.

This is a major setback because Lil Wayne has been fighting hard to get the documentary blocked because he didn’t agree with the way he was portrayed by QD3. Now not only does the movie stay in circulation, but he has to in turn pay QD3 instead of being paid by him.
