“It was shocking, very shocking,” he said referring to Cyrus’ racy VMA’s performance with Robin Thicke. “It didn’t get in the way of what I was doing, but I was definitely interested.” All talk has been on Miley and Robin Thicke for their vulgar performance at the VMA’s, but Lamar also aided the R&B singer on stage to perform their new hit with 2Chainz.

Chelsea also brought up the rapper’s controversial “Control” verse that has many in rap buzzed. “A lot of cats I named, they’re actually good friends of mine. I basically wanted to show that I’m competitive,” explained the rapper. “That keeps the level of hip hop alive as far as the culture.” The response has been varied as rappers who weren’t even called out made a comeback tape to the verse.

Chelsea also hit on the rapper’s aspirations before he turned to rap where he admits that he wanted to go to the NBA. “Before music, I wanted to be Michael Jordan. But like you said, I’m a small guy, I only grew to 5’6″ and it deferred my dreams to actually writing rhymes.”

Kendrick Lamar has premiered the visuals to the good kid, m.A.A.d City stand out  hit, “B****, Don’t Kill My Vibe”.

In the video, Lamar is shown attending a funeral with friends that soon transitions into a celebration.  Everyone is dressed in all white, with Lamar showcasing a few gold chains.  A few cameos make their appearances into the video including comedian Mike Epps and Three Six Mafia rapper, Juicy J. In the extended version, Lamar shares a sneak peek at School Boy Q’s new track, which is yet to be titled. At the end of the video, the message “Death To Molly” pops up, which could have something to do with the street drug, Molly.

The west coast rapper recently acted as a Principal at a US high school for a day. He paid a visit to Mount Pleasant High School in Providence, Rhode Island as a reward for the school winning the Get Schooled National Attendance Challenge.

Kendrick Lamar is set to tour this summer in the UK to promote his debut album. He will play cities like Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds before hitting up London’s Wireless festival on July 13. Other acts at the festival include Emeli Sande, Rita Ora, Miguel,  DJ Fresh, and Calvin Harris.

After the release of his debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city, Kendrick Lamar has won over music critics all over the country, many already calling the album a modern day classic. Before the album was released, rumors that Lady Gaga would be featured flared throughout twitter, but the singer was not on the album. Gaga posted a version of Lamar’s “B-tch Don’t Kill My Vibe” online last night, in which the “Born This Way” singer croons the hook of the ethereal rap track.

The clip shows Gaga on her private jet, as she travel the globe in aid of her Born This Way Ball tour, showing the singer filming fans from her hotel room and driving to tour venues.

Lamar told MTV that Lady Gaga was supposed to be on the original version but wasn’t due to label issues and the rapidly pre-order date caused the feature to be cut. Instead, Kendrick sings the hook on the album. The duo also collaborated on another song called “Partynauseous” which was dropped due to similar reasons. Gaga posted on her blog that while she loves Lamar, she was unwilling to meet the compromises his team was demanding, but that the song will be released at a late date.
