• Last month, he posted about how Jews control money and said they should “forgive Hitler.”

• Meanwhile, he’s still dropping Christian-themed art and music like it’s Sunday school.

People are calling him dangerous, antisemitic, unwell, washed-up, manipulative, or just plain cooked.

And they’re right. But also… not totally?

Kanye Is a Walking Postmodern Contradiction

This isn’t an excuse. This is a diagnosis.

Kanye West is what happens when you take postmodern philosophy, fame, trauma, god complex, and a smartphone… and blend it into a person. Postmodernism is the belief that truth is fragmented, identity is fluid, and contradictions aren’t flaws — they’re features.

He doesn’t believe in consistency. He believes in collision. To him, being a Christian and a Nazi and a gay icon isn’t hypocritical — it’s expressive. It’s chaos as identity. It’s rage-baiting and metaphysics and marketing all in one breath.

He once said, “There’s good and evil in every person. Hitler too.” That’s not a defense of Hitler. That’s him trying to collapse all binaries — saint vs sinner, good vs evil, art vs violence.

And in that, he’s not stupid. He’s actually playing with fire.

Why It Feels So Uncomfortable

People hate Kanye not just because of what he says — which, to be clear, often deserves the hate — but because he doesn’t follow the script.

We want villains to stay villains. We want Christians to act moral. We want artists to shut up when they’re dangerous. Kanye doesn’t do that. He’s like a roving Rorschach test. You look at him, and what you see kinda says more about you than about him.

When he praises Hitler, the outrage is justified — but also expected. When he calls himself gay, half the internet goes “he’s trolling” and the other half goes “so is he bisexual now?” But maybe the real answer is: he wants us confused. Confusion is the product.

But That Doesn’t Mean It’s Harmless

Let’s be clear: Ye does spread real harm. He’s made antisemitic comments, promoted Nazi imagery, and treated people in his life (including his wife) with intense control and weird public humiliation.

It’s not “just art.” It’s not “just trolling.” There are actual people and communities who bear the weight of his words.

The danger is when people over-intellectualize it to the point where nobody holds him accountable. Yes, he’s postmodern. But postmodern doesn’t mean immune.

So Why Even Bother Trying to Understand Him?

Because ignoring him doesn’t work either.

Ye is a product of our time. He’s what happens when fame becomes religion, when the internet rewards rage, when contradiction becomes aesthetic.

Is he trolling? Yes.
Is he serious? Also yes.
Is he dangerous? Sometimes.
Is he a genius? Probably, but also maybe not anymore.

The point is — he doesn’t want to be figured out. He wants to break the frame. And every time we react with outrage, we play our part in the performance.

Final Thought: Kanye Isn’t the Main Character — We Are

The real story isn’t just what Kanye says. It’s how we react. We cancel him, trend him, meme him, psychoanalyze him. He’s not just making statements — he’s studying the responses.

He’s a mirror held up to the culture. It’s cracked, yeah. But it reflects.

And maybe that’s why he scares people more than anything he actually says.

The feud between Kimmel and West stemmed from the rapper being displeased by Kimmel’s redemption of his recent interview with BBC. Kimmel enlisted child stars to recite actual lines from the West interview in a shortened sketch. “The main reason I did that is because I like to see kids curse,” said Kimmel. “I think it’s funny.” He also admitted to taking the quotes out of context.

“When I did that interview, I was really vocal about a lot of things that I’ve been dealing with over the past ten years when I was put in the classicification of “just a celebrity”,” said Kanye “I’m a creative genius and there’s no other way to word it. I know you’re not supposed to say that about yourself. I say things the wrong way a lot of times, but my intention is always positive.”

Kanye West had some not so kind words for Kimmel after the “Kid Re-Kreation” skit. Nonetheless, the beef is squashed and swept under the rug. “Jimmy does his thing, I do my thing, and at some point egos can flare up, and we kind of took it back to high school,” said the rapper of the online feud.

Everyone is anticipating Kanye West’s appearance on the talk show, Kris. Anticipation has been builidng up as rumors began that the rapper plans to show the first photos of Baby North. On the episode, Kanye gushes over fatherhood and his love for Kim, calling her his joy.

The Kris Jenner Show has reelased promo teasers of the finale episode of the Fox series where Kanye West will appear. We see a softer side to the rapper who’s often so abrasive in the public eye. Becoming a poppa has it’s perks. “[My grandfather’s] whole ting was about joy, having joy in his life. [Kim is] my joy. She brought my new joy into the world.” West even chokes up a bit while talking about his new family *tear*.

Kris Jenner is using all her resources for this one. Her talk showed aired for six weeks on Fox and the finale will determine it’s future. Throughout the season, she has called on the Kardashian clan for some assistance, even having Kylie and Kendall as guests! She brings it all together by having an exclusive interview with the ever reclusive Yeeuzus rapper and reveals for the first time  on television, North West. I’m still on the fence about this name, but I guess it is kind of a cool Hollywood name.

The finale episode of the Kris Jenner show airs on Friday on Fox.

Kanye West stopped by the set of Kris’s show on Monday and taped an hour long interview. Us Weekly reports that the rapper will tell all. A source states that the rapper is prepared to “really bringing it” to speak about his life as a father to baby North, his relationship with Kim and her family, and his feelings towards the press and media. The Chi rapper even joked that he’s “so in love” with Kim that he even thought about “playing sports” like her former beaus, Kris Humphries and Reggie Bush.

The rapper has been shying away from the limelight, even being abrasive towards the paparazzi. While the press hasn’t been his biggest ally, West recently had an intimate interview with the New York Times where he discussed his relationship with Kim and why he wasn’t going to be on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

West will return to the MTV Video Music Awards to perform “Black Skinhead” on Sunday, August 25. This year’s VMA’s will be in Brooklyn this year.

According to a report in The Sun, their Bel Air home will now come equipped with gold-plated toilets and feature other amenities like a new crib and appliances. The report stated that the huge amount is actually for four toilets, if that’s even better. Kimye also allegedly spent $444,000 on six special beds and $325,000 on kitchen appliances that included a Swarovski crystal-encrusted fridge.

Of course, the report is said to not be true according to Gossip Cop. While the couple could easily afford these products, a small glimpse of hope in me believes their not that vain. West has recently launched a fashion line with A.P.C and released $120 white tees.

Kim, Kanye, and baby North West  have been staying in the Kardashian household while work on their Bel Air mansion finalizes. Many are still on watch for an official photo of Baby North (if that’s her real name). The pair sent fake photos to friends to see if anyone would go behind their backs and sell it to the press, which they did. Magazines are preparing to drop big numbers on a sneak peek, so $750,000 for toilets might not be  too far fetched.

Gawker  has obtained and posted the recording on their site, which supposedly features West ranting to friends at the Corner Bistro in New York shortly after the awards show. “I’m pushing the envelop!” said the voice believed to be Kanye. “I wrote my f—n ‘Run This Town’ verse for a f—n’ month! When I heard Eminem’s verse on the Drake shit, I went back and rewrote my shit for two days. I cancelled appointments to rewrite! I f—n’ care! You know what I’m saying? And that’s what I’m saying.”

The tape continues, “Because I did that, Taylor Swift cannot win over Beyonce’! Because I wrote my verse in two days, Taylor Swift cannot beat Beyonce’. As long as I’m alive! And if I’m alive, kill me then! Kill me then! As long s I’m alive, you gon’ have to deal with it. ‘Cause there ain’t gonna be no more motherf—ing Elvises with no James Browns.”

Taylor Swift wasn’t his own victim of the night. He continued the rant by going after singer, Pink. “What the f–k was Pink performing? Don’t nobody know that song. Pink performed twice! Two songs? How the f–k Pink perform two songs and I didn’t even get asked to perform Heartless. Heartless is the biggest song of the year! It had the most spins of the first quarter! I don’t know that Pink song! But I know that she’s Pink! They put me in the a f–n room.”

Rubin told TheDailyBeast.com that Yeezus 2 is a possibility. “Initially, he thought there were going to be 16 songs on the album. But that first day, before he even asked me to work on it, I said, ‘Maybe you should make it more concise. Maybe this is two albums. Maybe this is just the first half,” Rubin recalled.

The Def Jam co-founder stated that he began to strip away layers to create the minimalist vision for the album. Rubin also told the site about working with Kanye during his tight schedule. The emcee had to fit recording with trips to Milan and the baby shower of his now baby mother, Kim Kardashian. “‘Don’t worry. I’ll score 40 points for you in the fourth quarter,'” he said of Kanye’s reply.

Rubin’s efforts paid off big time as the album sold over 325,000 copies. This makes the 5th number one solo album for Kanye and the 6th including Watch the Throne. Next up, Rubin will lend his hand to Jay Z’s upcoming album Magna Carter Holy Grail, which releases early next month.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are expecting their first child together early next month, but could there be trouble in paradise. Leyla Chobadi has told Star magazine that West cheated on his pregnant girlfriend with her, but the rapper denies these allegations.

A representative for Kanye West told ET: “This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit. It’s a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible ‘new’ sources. This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives.”

Leyla Ghobadi claims that she had been seeing West since July of 2012 up until October of last year, when Kardashian was pregnant but had not announced it yet. Ghobadi claims that the rapper sees his relationship with Kardashian as “for publicity and nothing serious”. She tells Star, “This is going to destroy the Kardashian family. It’s bad. It’s really bad. It’s just embarrassing. But if I were Kim and about to have a baby, I would want to know.”

According to the story in Star, West met Ghobadi in Atlantic City in July at a show she was dancing in. The story reports that the rapper spotted the 24-year-old dancing and asked her to have drinks with him at the HQ Nightclub, and then come back to his hotel room. She said that she refused because it was too soon soon, but eventually went up. “We began to make out for a while, and the next thing I knew, we were both naked and having sex.”

West and Kardashian both deny the allegations.

Kanye West is only a few days from dropping his acclaimed “Yeezus”. Unlike J. Cole’s “Born Sinner”, the album hasn’t been leaked yet, but rumors are spirally about a possible tracklist for the album. An unconfirmed track list has surfaced and includes features from Frank Ocean, Chief Keef, and King L.

Yeezus is executive produced by hip-hop legend and Def Jam co-founder, Rick Rubin. The album was previewed earlier this week at a New York  listening party and according to reports the 10-song track list has been revealed. Reports state that the album opens up the “On Sight” that is followed by “Black Skinhead” and “I am God”, with a feature from God. My guess is Morgan Freeman.

“New Slaves”, which has been previewed on projections across the world, is said to feature Frank Ocean, while “Hold My Liquor” is aided by fellow Chicago rapper, Chief Keef. There were reports that the two would collaborate after Ye remixed the newcomer’s “Don’t Like”. “Hold My Liquor” also includes singing from Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon.

Next up is “I’m In It,” which sample’s Kenny Latimore’s “Lately”, according to reports. “Blood On The Leaves has a sample of Nina Simone singing Billie Holiday’s “Strange Fruit” and “Guilt Trip”.  Kid Cudi joins in on “Chief Rocka”. West once stated that Cudi was his favorite artist, but the Cleveland emcee has recently left Ye’s G.O.O.D Music label.

Chicago drill sergeant King L lends his voice to “Send it Up”, which has a sample of Beenie Man’s “Memories”. The album wraps up with “Bound 2” that  features R&B legend Charlie Wilson.

The tracklist is yet to be confirmed.

Kanye West is a pretty outspoken artist who isn’t scared to speak his mind, we all know that. It’s because of this straightforwardness that Mr. West has chosen not to do interviews for the press, but he’s more than willing to speak his mind during one of his shows.

West was invited to perform at a “secret show” Wednesday night that was actually Adult Swim’s upfront, which is where a network shows off it’s upcoming lineup of shows to advertisers. The show took place in New York’s Roseland Ballroom and West came out in typical fashion, in the middle of an all-white pyramid. West performed some of his biggest hits, which included “Jesus Walks” and “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” and newer songs like “All of the Lights,” “Clique” and “Mercy.”

After performing “Runaway,” West went on another epic rant that called out the paparazzi and how they’re always snapping photos in his face. “I don’t know if you know there’s one thing about me, but I’m not a celebrity,” West sang/said. “I don’t know if you know there’s one thing about me, but I’m a terrible, terrible celebrity. I don’t know if you know there’s one thing about me, but I’m the worst kind of celebrity … Because I only make real music … I’m only up in the studio to make real sh-t … I don’t want nobody coming up to me with cameras and sh-t … Selling pictures to a f–king magazine … Asking me dumb f–king questions … Because I’m not a motherf–king celebrity … I only make music that inspires you to be the best you can be — And I don’t want anyone to ask anything else of me.”
