Kanye West is no stranger to leaving cryptic updates on Twitter. Recently, he tweeted “June 18th”, having everyone wondering what’s behind it.

Mr. West deleted a lot of tweets on May 2nd, leaving the tweet “June Eighteen”. Kanye West is known to tweet inspirational messages such as “soul” and “honor”. He took a break from a major hiatus to Twitter.

Some speculate that the tweet is the due date of his first child with Kim Kardashian. During an interview, Kim Kardashian told reporters her due date was early July, but sources say they overheard Kim say the due date was mid-June. While Kim hasn’t been shy about showing off her baby bump, she has been hush hush on the exact date.

The date could be related to the long awaited release of West’s newest album, Cruel Summer, the follow up to Cruel Winter. West has mentioned that he had been working on an album for quite some time now, but has yet to give details on an actual release date. However, it would be unlikely that he would drop an album around the same time as Good Music’s Big Sean.

Another speculation is that Kanye West is revealing the release date to the rapper’s fashion line in Paris. West has been in the works on a line with British design partner Katie Eary, an up and coming designer, who graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 2008. The line is supposed to be shown on June 18th at the London Fashion Week’s Menswear viewing.

Ray J is milking as much publicity out of “I Hit It First” as he can. Which is to be expected. You don’t drop a song like that, given his history with Kim Kardashian and the fact that she’s currently pregnant by Kanye West, without expecting attention.

But Ray claims he isn’t concerned with how Kim and Kanye will react to it.

“I’m not thinking about that,” Ray said when asked about Kanye’s non-response. “We didn’t do this record to get a response from nobody. Like, we did this record for people to go to iTunes, pick the record up, when you hear it in the club, you go crazy. If you want to pop it on your iTunes that’s in your phone and have a crazy conversation about what it is, that’s what we did it for. We run an independent company and we having fun. … The thing about it is I’m not saying anything to nobody. The record speaks for itself. The record is so over-the-top that for us to go into the interviews and go crazy over some sh*t, it’s too much. It’s distasteful.”

Kanye West and girlfriend Kim Kardashian are both superstars in their own right, so they’re probably used to getting special treatment everywhere they go. But that special treatment isn’t supposed to happen at the airport. While rushing to make their connecting flight to LAX after landing from Brazil, the star couple cleared customs and were allowed to completely bypass security.

American Airlines released a statement about the incident saying, “This was a lapse in judgment by one of our employees. We’re working closely with the Transportation Security Administration and speaking to the individuals involved to better understand what happened.”

The airline added, “The flight in question departed JFK an hour late. It was delayed in part because of this issue and in part because a number of connecting bags were late arriving to the aircraft.”

The Transportation Security Administration released their own statement about the incident saying, “Two celebrity passengers on an international JFK International Airport flight who arrived yesterday morning (Feb. 12) cleared U.S. Customs and the baggage recheck process. An airline employee escorted the two travelers through a non-public area in order to provide expedited access to their domestic flight. In doing so, the airline employee violated security protocols by permitting the travelers to bypass the TSA security checkpoint.”

Kanye and Kim were eventually screened in the jetway and eventually cleared to get aboard their flight.
