Former Tour de France champion cyclist Lance Armstrong sat down for a heart to heart interview with Oprah Winfrey today but first he addressed his Livestrong Foundation staffers in Austin, Texas to apologize for his recent fall from grace.

Rae Bazzarre, who is the foundation’s Director of Communications and External Affairs said that  Armstrong, “offered a sincere and heartfelt apology for the stress [the Livestrong staff has] endured because of him and urged them to keep up the great work fighting for people affected by cancer.”

Last October, Armstrong was forced to step down as Livestrong’s chairman after doping allegation caused him to lose his 7 tour de France victories and be banned from professional cycling for life. Throughout it all Armstrong still maintains that he is innocent and has never used performance enhancing drugs. His Oprah Winfrey interview is scheduled to air on Thursday where he will be once again forced to confront the allegations that ruined his career.

The notoriously late rock star was right on time for his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to give his first live TV interview in 20 years. The Guns ‘n Roses front man was surprisingly open and endearing as he talked about everything from his Halloween tree to his upcoming shows in Las Vegas. An older and wiser Axl undertook the 12 minute interview to promote his bands 12 night residency at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, The Appetite for Democracy shows kick off on October 31^st. Topics of conversation ranged from Rose’s early days in rock ‘n roll, hitch hiking to Los Angeles and working as a Tower Records manager to his framed picture of the Oscar Wilde quote “Punctuality is the thief of time” that hangs in his home. Rose also revealed that he sets up a Halloween tree each year and gives out presents to visiting children, joking that it’s “the most evil thing I’ve ever done. I say to them, ‘You mean you don’t have a Halloween tree.” Rose also answered questions that were submitted via Twitter before the interview. In response to the question as to what he does when he runs off stage during a performance Rose replied that he feels dumb standing on stage during instrumental solos. Another fan wanted to know who Rose was going to vote for in the upcoming election to which he responded that “I don’t really vote,” the irony of an upcoming tour called Appetite for  Democracy and not voting was not lost on Kimmel who gave him some good-natured grief on the subject. All in all, both Kimmel and the audience seemed pleasantly surprised by the singer, whose reputation for tardiness and bad boy behavior precedes him wherever he goes. Rose even went the extra mile, bringing along a hamburger truck to feed the crew and audience after the show.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has lived much of his life in the public eye, first as a body builder then as an actor and finally as the governor of the state of California but until this week the controversial figure has remained silent about his relationship with a housekeeper that bore him a child and cost him his marriage to Maria Shriver. In anticipation of the release of his new biography ‘Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story” Schwarzenegger sat down with 60 minutes to film an interview that will air this Sunday. “I think it was the stupidest thing I’ve done in the whole relationship,” he says, “It was terrible. I inflected tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids.” The relationship only came to light a year ago after Shriver confronted her husband during a marriage counseling session. Schwarzenegger was asked point blank if he fathered a child with his housekeeper and was forced to reveal that he had a 14 year old son that no one knew about.

Kim Kardashian, the darling of reality television, has never been one to keep her personal life personal and her recent interview with Oprah was no exception. The Armenian beauty confessed to Oprah that she has recently undergone laser hair removal stating “I’ve lasered everything.” The star has endorsed hair removal products in the past including No!No! and TRIA  in the past year but had decided to seek a more permenant solution. Always in the public eye the star makes no secret of her rigorous beauty routine, referring to it as a “job.” When asked if all the hard work she puts into her looks has made her feel beautiful the star demurred and said that she is always very critical of her appearance but did admit that she does feel pretty.
