The Dave Matthews band is doing their part to help out the victims of last month’s hurricane Sandy, pledging $1 million to the recovery effort. The band announced on their website Wednesday that they will be donating all ticket and merchandise sales from their November 30th show at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey to the Bama Works Sandy Relief Fund, which was established at the Community Foundation of New Jersey. The show kicks of the winter tour for the Dave Mathews Band who will be on the road until the tour wraps in Philadelphia on December 22.

Dave Matthews is just one of many celebrities who have been contributing to relief efforts. Last weekend newlyweds Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, along with friend Timbaland, headed out to Rockaway, Queens to hand out relief backpacks and blankets and country crooner, Carrie Underwood, donated all proceeds from her show in Atlantic City to help the people of New Jersey.

While many of us are still waiting for the trains to start running and the lights to come back on, New York City based celebrities are sharing their own takes on Hurricane Sandy.

Coco Austin

Reality TV star and wife of rapper Ice-T Nicole “Coco” Austin took to her balcony in Edgewater, NJ Monday to give an impromptu forecast turned peep show. The model showed off her best assets in a low-cut tank top as high winds pushed the blond bombshell all over her balcony and distorted her live broadcast. That’s ok, if we couldn’t hear her at least her body came through loud and clear.

Donny Wahlberg

Former New Kid on the Block turned actor Donny Wahlberg posted video of his flooded East Coast home on Monday night. The star is seen splashing through the water in his home as kitchen appliances float by in the background. The star tweeted that he was “Safe & Sound on Higher Ground!” and reminded his fans that material possessions were meaningless compared to the safety of loved ones.

Alec Baldwin

The 30 Rock star and his wife Hilaria Baldwin took to Twitter to announce their intentions of seeking a hotel after losing the power in their home.

Heidi Klum

The queen of Halloween decided to postpone her annual party this year issuing a statement saying; “I hope you and your loved ones are safe after this devastating storm in the New York City area. For obvious reasons, I am cancelling my Halloween party scheduled for tomorrow night. I hope to postpone for the near future…maybe a very Haunted Christmas? I hope everyone understands and stays safe.”

Even stars who were safely positioned on the west coast during the storm took to social media to express their concerns for friends and loved ones back east. Khloe Kardashian tweeted “Praying for the victims of hurricane Sandy!” and one from Kristie Alley said “oh NYC…I’m so sad for you…so much devastation and clean up to do…Let us know how to help.”
