You have to be living under a rock to not have fallen under the spell of the HBO series Game of Thrones. In last night’s episode titled “Rain of Castamere” the series continued to have everyone on their seats with the intense turn of events. Be warned, this article contains some spoilers, so stop reading if you haven’t checked out episode nine yet.

The “Red” episode of Game of Thrones was everything like the chapter within Storm of Swords, shocking and bleak. First, to everyone’s surprise, Roslin Frey, sister of the homey Freys, turned out to be beautiful. That, however, was the calmest part of the episode.

The most dramatic scene, however, was the tragic death of fan favorite, Robb. The episode had viewers spiraling as they watched the domino effect of Robb watching  his wife and unborn child die, then when Cat watched as Robb died by a shower of arrows, and finally as Cat sought revenge by slitting the neck of Walder’s wife before coming into her own death.

Walder Frey rose to be one of the biggest monsters on the already dark show. His rise in the ranks was aided by the Lannisters and the turncoat Lord Bolton, who revealed to Robb the entire scheme, in which Lord Tywin gained enough power to turn all other avenues against him. Even readers of the book couldn’t prepare themselves to see it all pan out on screen.

And here we go. HBO has just released the very first teaser trailer to their wildly popular Game Of Thrones series. This will be the third season and there’s quite a few story lines that rabid fans can’t wait to find out about. Of course they could always read the book, but that’s neither here or there I suppose. The new trailer for the upcoming Game Of Thrones season is rather short, coming in at just 15 seconds, but it packs quite a bit of punch.

In the trailer we can hear a woman’s voice saying “The great war is between death and life, ice and fire. If we lose, the night will never end.” We don’t get to see any epic upcoming fights or anything, just the title and the date the next season is expected to start. The second Game Of Thrones book was so long that HBO decided to split it into two seasons, so expect the rest of the Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and Fire to start on March 13, 2013
