Frank Ocean has won two Grammy Awards for his album Channel Orange and has already recorded eleven songs for his follow up.Frank Ocean spoke with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe on Tuesday to discuss his plans on the next album.

“Like 10, 11 songs into this next thing. It’s another cohesive thing bordering on a concept record again,” he told the radio show. Ocean explained that the new album might come from a moment at the end of Channel Orange. “There’s Golden Girl and it’s this beach scene and I kind of want to extend that feeling into the next record,” he said. “I’m going to Bora Bora when I get back ..I put a studio in my house, but it’s all in road cases. I’m going to take it all to Bora Bora and work for a few weeks.” Ocean has been working on a few tracks and plans to continue after his much needed vacation. “I was in the studio with Pharrell just yesterday,” he said. “Tyler came by and we were just playing records ..I’m getting in with Danger Mouse when I get back to the States.”

When asked if his next album will include some high profile features he shouted out British singer King Krule, saying that he loves his voice. “Usually when I meed these guys if we happen to write something then we do but it’s just cool just feel it out first,” said Ocean. “It has to be right as far as chemistry. I love Tame Imapala, Tyler put me on to Tame Impala ..Their music has that freedom to it, it’s wicked.”

Frank Ocean is currently in England preparing for the Brit Awards where he is nominated for the International Male Solo Artist award. He will also be joining the likes of Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Miguel at the International Wireless Festival in the UK. The singer says he plans to add some dates this summer to do some shows for Channel Orange. “I do want to get out for a few months this year ..I have some plans.” Looks like Frank Ocean will be having a busy 2013.

On top of his six Grammy nominations,  Frank Ocean has been nominated for a GLAAD media award. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Derfamation announced it’s 24th Annual Media Awards.

Frank Ocean revealed he was homosexual last summer in an open letter on his blog. The letter detailed his love for a man, and “came out” just days before the release of Ocean’s debut album “Channel Orange”. The news has been well received in the hip hop community with the singer receiving full support from his Odd Future crew including Tyler the Creator. Since then, Ocean has been a break out star from releasing his album to working with artists such as Jay Z and Kanye West.

The singer has been nominated for six Grammy Awards, including Best New Artists and Record of the Year, two of the highest honors of the show. GLAAD has nominated Ocean for Outstanding Music Artist. Joining Ocean in the GLAAD Music category are Adam Lambert, Rufus Wainwright, indie rock band Gossip, and pop group Scissor Sisters.

Other nominees for the GLAAD awards include Oprah Winfrey for her interview with Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka, NBC’s new hit “Smash”, and Fox’s “Glee”. The awards are meant to honor media for outstanding images of the gay and lesbian community. Winners will be announced on March 16 in New York, and April and May in Los Angeles.

Just July, Frank Ocean went to Tumblr to share with the world that he had fallen in love with another man. Ocean was surprising supported by fans and the music industry for being courageous enough to come out. Now, the singer may have a new boyfriend he wants to show off.

On Sunday night, Frank Ocean shared a photo via Instagram of the R&B singer embraced from behind by another man with long, brown hair. The mysterious man has been identified as male model Willy Cartier from France by multiple news outlets and is rumored to be Ocean’s current boyfriend.

Cartier and Ocean have been seen exchanging tweets via Twitter more recently. The singer, even tweeted, “Marry em, make em American” on Sunday morning.

The photo however is different from the others posted on Ocean’s Instagram. The photo of the two looks to be taken from a movie screen, making everyone wonder if Cartier has been casted in the next music video from Frank Ocean’s acclaimed debut album, Channel Orange. When asked about the photo, Ocean responded “Lol y’all are crazy. Remember, everyone goes to the grave. Let me live.”

The Grammy Nominations Concert aired last night in Nashville. New comer Frank Ocean, along with hip hop veteran Jay Z, Kanye West, Mumford & Sons, Dan Auberbach of The Black Keys,  and FUN, took the lead with six nominations.

Throughout the night, nominees were announced between performances such as FUN’s “We Are Young” with Janelle Monae. Ne-Yo, Luke Bryan, and Maroon 5 took the stage as well as  Taylor Swift and LL Cool J entertained the crowd with hosting duties at the concert in Nashville. To pay homage to country music, the show took place in the home of the top country artists.

Frank Ocean is nominated for big awards such as Album of the Year and Best New Artist for his work on debut album “Channel Orange”. Earlier this year, Ocean made a bold statement by revealing he was homosexual, a rare event in the hip hop community. Ocean was embraced with open arms, which can be shown through the support of his album and nominations.

The 55th Grammy Awards will air February 10 on CBS in Los Angeles.
