It’s a boy! Hawaii Five-O actor Alex O’Loughlin confirmed today that his girlfriend, surfer turned model Malia Jones, has given birth to their first child together. The couple has yet to reveal details about their new addition but it appears that all is well for the handsome couple. While this is their first child together, both have children from previous relationships, O’Loughlin has a 15 year old son named Saxon and Jones has a 3 year old named Spike. The two first went public with their relationship at the 9^th Annual G’day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala last January in Hollywood and E! News announced the pregnancy back in August.

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing for the Australian born hunk. O’Loughlin spent some time in rehab earlier this year to deal with a dependency on prescription pain killers, The actor took a short hiatus from his role as Lt. Commander Stephen J McGarrett after an onset injury in season 2 left him dependent on drugs to get through the demands of his grueling schedule. The actor was back in record time however and he seems happier and healthier than ever. These days he’s drug free and as happy with his home life as he is with the new directions that his hit TV show is taking. Not only is his real life family growing, with the birth of his son, but his TV family has expanded this season as well. Lt. McGarrett has discovered that his mother, who be believed to have been murdered, is alive and well and living in Hawaii and his onscreen romance with Michelle Borth is getting hotter than ever. Still the character closest to McGarrett remains his crime fighting partner Danno played by veteran actor Scott Caan. O’Loughlin jokes that their pairing “is like a good marriage.”

Johnny Lewis, the star best known for his role as Half-Sack on the television series ‘Sons of Anarchy, came to a violent and tragic end this week and it seems that family and friends had long been worried about the troubled young actor. On Wednesday afternoon Lewis allegedly beat and strangled his landlady to death and assaulted several neighbors before falling from the roof his own home and according to court records this was not Lewis’s first run in with violence. The actor has been arrested several times in the past year and had been released from jail only 5 days before his death. Family members say that early in the year Lewis suffered a psychotic breakdown after a drug trip gone wrong and hasn’t been the same ever since. The trouble started last January when Lewis attacked two men with a bottle and continued up until his death despite attempts at counceling and medication. Lewis’s caise of death is still being investigated as the medical examiner on the case awaits toxicology reports.

Former actress Amanda Bynes is in hot water again. The child star has already had two run ins with authorities in recent months and with a third incident on her record it’s looking like Bynes has little credibility left with her fans and friends. Bynes was allegedly seen Tuesday smoking from a pipe and driving erratically through the streets of Los Angeles, all this with a suspended license stemming from her earlier hit and run incidents. According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, Amanda Bynes was initially seen smoking from a pipe in the parking lot at a Baja Fresh restaurant and then heading to a spa where she spent three hours. Leaving the spa, she reportedly began driving erratically, cutting off other motorists and weaving in and out of traffic.The actress then parked her BMW at a Home Depot parking lot where she lit up again. Bynes is already facing charges from her previous traffic stops.

Joey Kovar, star of the 2008 season of MTV’s reality show the Real World was found dead today at a friend’s home in his home town of Chicago, Illinois. The aspiring actor  was found bleeding by a female friend who called 911. Emergency responders pronounced Kovar dead at the scene and according to TMZ it is believed that his death was connected to his battle with drug addiction. Fans watched Kovar struggle with drugs during his time on the Real World. Kovar left mid-season to seek help for his addictions later returning to the show only to leave again over fears of suffering a relapse. Kovar also appeared on the VH1 series Celebrity Rehab after suffering another relapse and abusing the drugs cocaine and ecstasy. Family, friends and fans await further news in regards to the tragic end of the young and troubled reality star.
