According to records from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Brown arrived at Van Nuys jail at 2:40pm, was booked shortly after and released at 3:22 pm with no bail. His quick release is not a surprised due to overcrowding in the LA jail. Van Nuys has seen a variety of celebrity law breakers through the years including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Nicole Richie, all released within hours after turning themselves in.

The singer has denied the charges from the Los Angeles city attorney that states he got into an accident with a Mercedes Benz and refused to show his driver’s license and reportedly gave false information. Brown was charged with two counts for a hit and run and driving without a valid license. He could face up to six months for each offense.

The “Fine China” singer went to Twitter to set the record straight. “It’s not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous.” He also claimed that the woman who he hit was “thinking of a payday” from the singer.

Brown is no stranger to the court system. Last month a judge revoked his probation from the 2009 assault charges against Rihanna. He could be facing up to four years if found in violation of his probation.

Grammy award winning artist Chris brown just can’t seem to catch a break. Brown’s neighbors are unhappy with the star because of the artwork he’s chosen to pain alongside the curb of his Hollywood Hills home. Patti Negri, president of the Hollywood Dell Civic Association, told the Los Angeles Time that the grimacing, sharp-toothed, red-eyed goblins Brown has painted are an eyesore, and scaring the local kids as well.

“There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they’re literally frightened. It’s like devils on the wall — big scary eyes and big scary teeth, and just the whole vibe is not what we’re used to,” said Patti Negri. L.A. city code officials issued Brown a $376 ticket for unpermitted and excessive signage. Under L.A. city ordinances, it is illegal to create murals on most private properties.

Brown has been ordered him to remove the goblin paintings within 30 days, but his attorney Mark Geragos said the musician is not backing down. “They are trying to suspend the First Amendment,” Geragos said.

Chris Brown’s father does not want his son to stay with Rihanna.

It’s not the first time that Clinton has warned his son to keep his distance from the ‘Stay’ singer, and he is now insisting that the pair are just too ‘whimsical’ to be in a relationship together – as neither of them will stay grounded. Clinton Brown spoke to the New York Daily News about the notoriously tumultuous couple and revealed that he would’ve preferred they’d stayed apart following Brown’s infamous 2009 assault of Rihanna.

“I really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together because of the scrutiny and because they are two individuals who are whimsical,” he told The Sun.

“You don’t have the balance. You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous, but you also need someone who is more grounded and logical.”

He added, “I personally liked Jordin Sparks. She’s a wholesome young lady, very pretty. Of course a lot of times we don’t want conservative types.

“However, he did admit that he has no control over what Brown chooses to do, saying that it’s ultimately his son’s decision as to who he wants to be with.

The singer’s father is worried that the tumultuous relationship could end in tragedy: “Is that a given — that you can’t have fortune and fame without [death] being the end result?”

“I hate to use examples, but Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse — I mean I could go on and on! I hate to use examples, but Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse — I mean I could go on and on!” he added, while conceding that he understands why his son is enamored with the starlet. “She’s beautiful, she’s exotic, she’s successful. Sometimes you just need that person who will listen to you without judging, who knows what it feels like. Even if I gathered a bunch of people with signs and said, ‘Stay away from Rihanna, stay away,’ Chris will do what Chris wants to do. That’s his choice and I want him to be happy…”

Chris Brown has showing  interest in hip-hop over the past few years, the singer revealed in a recent interview that he doesn’t know if he’s ready to record an entire hip-hop album.

“For me, I think I would have to progress more as an emcee first,” he said in an interview with Power 98. “It’s just me having fun and showcasing who I am. So an album, I would really have to be taken a hundred percent serious as a rapper. I like Rap. I love it. Music is my passion. Even on my album now, there’s a couple songs that I rap on. But as far as a whole album, I don’t know if the world is ready for Chris Brown, the rapper.”

“Music is for everyone,” he added. “When you put genres on music, you segregate it… I want to always be able to do any kind of music I want. When I get older I might want to do a Country album. Next year, I might want to do an all Hip Hop album or Alternative album. Just making sure that anything that goes down, showing my audience or showing people that have a creative mind that you can do anything you want, it’s just about believing and loving what you’re doing in a positive way. ”

Rihanna has had to cancel shows on her “Diamonds” tour due to illness. The singer put the brakes on shows in Houston and in Dallas this week, and there are starting to be some rumblings that she’s battling more than just laryngitis.

That’s right, Rih-Rih’s fans think she may be pregnant. Of course, nothing from the star has alluded to any chance of her carrying a little Chris Brown.

“I was sick since San Diego! I kept working because I thought two days off after the Vegas show would be enough time to recover and I f**ked up, those were two days off from hell and today is not different!” she posted.

“I’m sad and disappointed about it! I had all kinds of plans for Houston!”

I would not really call the shots too soon. Its only been 6 days since the San Diego show. If she remains not feeling good, then the world could be expecting a lil Chris Brown.

Chris Brown brushed off the old paint brushes to create something cool and beautiful for charity. Brown hooked up with famed graffiti artist Slick (real name Richard Wyrgatsch II) on Friday, tagging up a wall to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation and Best Buddies International.

The rapper tweeted a message to his fans saying, “Painting today with ‘Slick’. An Amazing artist. Gonna be a big collaboration for charity. Do what u love!”

Slick also tweeted, “@chrisbrown charity is a beautiful thang…… Lets do this,” and posted a photo with the singer “in the lab” on his Instagram.

But that was only the beginning of Brown’s artistic weekend. The superstar also painted a large St. Patrick’s Day-inspired mural yesterday, and sharing a photo of the finished product on Twitter. This latest journey into art went a lot smoother than the time he posted a picture in January depicting him as Jesus on the cross,  flanked by the two prisoners who were crucified with Christ, saying, “Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters!”

The Police Chief involved in the Chris Brown community service ordeal has resigned from his position.

According to TMZ, Bryan Norwood Chief of the Police Department in Richmond, Virginia, was intimately involved in certifying Brown’s community service hours. The Los Angeles District Attorney, on the other hand, claim that these hours were falsely reported. Norwood was instrumental in removing Brown’s case from the Richmond Probation Department, in which he placed solely in his hands. Norwood also wrote a letter to the court vouching for the singer stating that all of his community service hours had been performed, reported TMZ.

The Mayor of Richmond says the office and the Chief reached a “mutual agreement” for his resignation. The had been speculations that the police chief was in the works of resigning to take a similar job in Raleigh, North Carolina. The controversy with Chris Brown only made his decision to take the job a swifter move.

The judge of the case has asked Brown to verify his community service hours. If he cannot produce any evidence, his probation can be violated.

Chris Brown was given 180 community service hours for his case against abusing singer Rihanna. The Los Angeles D.A claims that the hours were falsified by the Community Center, where Brown’s mother works, and that Norwood was involved in covering up.

R&B superstar Chris brown was back in court Wednesday to face allegations that he forged the community service hours he was supposed to complete as part of his sentence for assaulting Rihanna in 2009. The judge called for more information to be introduced and scheduled for another hearing to take place in two months.

Brown arrived to court with Rihanna, the very same woman whose face he bruised up, his mom, and two other women, and left with the same group of people after the short hearing with Superior Court Judge James Brandlin. Prosecutors in Virginia claim that they could not find any credible evidence for Brown completing all the community service hours he was ordered to do.

Mark Geeragos, Brown’s lawyer, is none to happy about how the DA’s office in VA is treating his client. In a news conference Geragos said, “I’ve never had a client, and I’ve represented a wide breadth and thousands of clients, never ever had a client who has been tortured by a DA’s office on probation like Chris Brown has.”

Superstars Chris Brown and Rihanna were seen leaving a L.A. studio together early Wednesday morning after working on some new music.

Rihanna was was none too pleased to see the paparazzi present while they tried to make a quick getaway, and at one point she tried to her face with her hand while Chris Brown drove away in his Porsche 911 Turbo. Rihanna was dressed down but she managed to look hot, wearing a snapback, sweatshirt, and hipster glasses. Brown had an all black getup that was capped off with a fedora hat.

Brown is in trouble with the law, again, after allegations were levied against him that claim he forged his community service hours from his 2009 domestic assault against Rihanna. Virginia Deputy District Attorney Mary. A. Murray filed a  motion against Brown on Tuesday, stating his reported hours are “inconsistent, unsubstantiated and unverifiable.” This won’t be their first single together after reuniting.

Brown collabed with Rihanna for the song, “Nobodies Business,” which is on her seventh studio album, “Unapologetic.”

Rihanna may have gotten over the assault case with Chris Brown, but the courts haven’t. According to TMZ, Brown allegedly lied about his court ordered community service hours. TMZ reports that the Los Angeles District Attorney filed legal documents claiming that Chris Brown violated his probation by submitting  fake community service documents.

The Chief of Police of Virgina, Bryan T. Norwood wrote a letter to the judge saying that Brown had completed more than the required 180 days of community service with 202. In his letter, Norwood included documents that stated that the singer had worked at Tappahannock Children’s Center doing odd jobs such as painting, cleaning windows, cutting grass, taking out the trash, and waxing floors. Brown’s mother was once a director at the children’s center who reported the times, locations, and types of duties done by Chris. The supervising deputy was told that she did not have to monitor Brown during the times at the Children’s Center.  In fact, Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos told the probation officer that there was a court order to remove Brown’s probation to the police chief. The DA claims Chris Brown may have had a previous relationship with Norwood.

The documents from the DA also state how Brown’s lawyer coached Richmond Police Department on how to answer questions regarding Brown’s community service to investigators and also tried to get a worker at the center to speak on behalf of Chris Brown. The worker refused to lie and told the DA that he was the only person to wax the floors of the center in three years. The  DA calls Brown’s documentation “sloppy” as some dates that were entered, the singer was performing concerts.

The District Attorney is asking the judge to deny Brown’s documents and allow him to do the community service in Los Angeles. The singer may also be in trouble for violating parole with the issue of the fight between him and Frank Ocean and throwing a chair on “Good Morning America”.
