Gordon was raised by Whitney Houston, even being placed in her home as a young boy. Both Gordon and Bobbi Kristina are letting everyone know that they are not related in the least bit. “YES, we me nick are engaged. I’m tired of hearing people say ‘ewww you’re engaged to your brother or if Whitney was still alive would we be together or would she approve of this’,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “Let me clear up something, we aren’t even real brother and sister nor is he my adoptive brother. My mother never adopted him.”

Gordon also attempted to clear the air on his Twitter page. “Look we don’t care about any of that negative ppl talk. When your love is like ours! We are in our own little world,” Tweeted Nick. Bobbi Kristina showed off her engagement ring with an Instagram picture. The caption read, “My gorgeous fiance @nickgordon & I on the boardwalk.”

Kristina and Gordon were reportedly engaged this past year, but called it off before announcing their plans to wed again.

Bobbi Kristina, daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, has called off her engagement to her adopted brother Nick Gordon. The two have been under enormous scrutiny since Houston’s passing especially when Bobbi Kristina started showing off an engagement ring earlier this year, but now it looks like the two are keeping things platonic. Gordon took to Twitter to announce “@REALbkBrown and I are not engaged or dating. Just close like we have always been.”

Shortly after dispelling engagement rumors, Brown was involved in a car crash in her hometown of Alpharetta, Georgia. The reality star was leaving her apartment when she lost control of the car while making a turn. The car went over a curb and down an embankment before coming to rest on a park trail. Brown was unhurt in the incident and drugs and alcohol are not suspected to have played a part in the accident.

Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, revealed this week that she is getting married to Nick Gordon, her adopted brother. Word spread quickly after a clip from her upcoming Lifetime reality series “The Houstons: On Our Own” showed a giggly Bobby Kristina announcing the engagement. Gordon was unofficially adopted by Houston when he was just 12 years old and has been a part of the family ever since. Rumors have long been circulating that Bobby, 19 and Gordon, 23 were romantically involved but until now the family has adamantly denied them. If the clips from the new series, which follows the Houston clan in the wake of Whitney’s death, are to be believed that family is less than pleased with the engagement. Gordon is seen saying “Everybody else doesn’t have to be in my business. The family has made me out to be a bad person.” Bobbi tells the camera in the preview, “I’m in love with him. They wanna see us fail. I got one thing to say—you won’t.”
