Rihanna Celebrates 25th Birthday With MAC Deal

Happy Birthday, Rihanna!

Millions are sending the singer tweets, messages, and posts wishing her a happy 25th, but the biggest gift of all may be her signing with MAC Cosmetics to launch her own makeup line. Rihanna, who calls the deal a “no-brainer”, will collaborate with the make up company to create a four-collection line called RiRi [hearts] MAC. The first product to be released will be a red lipstick called RiRi Woo and the launch of the collection will coincide with Rihanna’s Diamond World Tour stop at Barclay’s Arena in New York on May 4 and 5. The concert will feature a pop up show in the venue so fans can buy the singer’s first offering.

“When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind –for something legit –is MAC,” said Rihanna about her partnership with the cosmetic brand. “Whatever color you want, it’s like ‘Let’s go to MAC’. I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always aid that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand.”

There will be a summer collection that will showcase two additional lipsticks. In the fall, the collabs will release four lipsticks, a lip gloss and other makeup counterparts and a holiday line with 10 items with nail polish, a makeup bag, and more lipsticks.

Dubbed the Queen of Instagram, the bajan singer is celebrating the day by posting a series of IG photos. One particular picture, she shows with her and Chris Brown celebrating her 20th birthday with the caption #throwbackRiRi my surprise 20th birthday party!! I’m and old b—ch now! Thank God for His gifts and His endless mercies! #25 #MilestoneLife.” In the photo, the singer is throwing a bunch of rose petals in the air, while Chris Brown looks on.

The Rihanna reign isn’t letting up anytime soon.
