Kevin Clash may have paid his last visit to ‘Sesame Street,’ but his work as Elmo lives on as his voice was used in the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade on Thursday. According to sources, he will also continue to be a part of the show as he has reportedly already filmed enough material to last for the next two years.

Clash was forced to resign from his long run on the beloved television show, as his sexual abuse scandal continues to grow. The first man to accuse his of sex with an underage male had originally recanted his claim but when a second man came forward he decided to stick to his original allegations.

With the scandal making headlines, many wondered if Elmo would still be a part of the annual parade but Macy’s officials issued a statement explaining: “Current events have no bearing on Sesame’s participation in the parade and we are confident their world-renowned, family-friendly entertainment and educational programming will continue to bring kids and families joy for decades.”
