‘General Hospital’ star John Ingle dead at 84

Beloved actor and long time star on the soap opera ‘General Hospital’ John Ingle passed away on Saturday at the age of 84. The actor’s family announced his passing on Facebook on Saturday saying “Father, Husband, Grandan, Great Grandan, Brother, Uncle, Friend, Teacher, Inspirer, Mentor: May you soar with the angels. You will forever hold a special place in the deepest corners of our hearts. You were joy, light and love. Goodness at its very best.” Ingle played the role of Edward Quartermaine on over 450 episodes of General Hospital and made his final appearance only last week. The star also payed Mickey Horton on the soap “Days of Our Loves.” Ingle’s acting credits also include roles on the hit show “Life Goes On” and “The Drew Carey Show” as well as playing the school principal in the icon 80’s movie “Heathers.” John Ingle lost his wife of 57 years back in February and is survived by  children as well as 12 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
